Gilbert’s wonderful courses were an extraordinary experience, and seeing the knowledge I gained from him confirmed in practice continues to bring constant “aha” moments.
If you sign up for Recall Healing, you should know that a Recall Healing facilitator or helper applying Recall Healing methods will not ’heal’ you. They are not a doctor, but a trained guide who builds a relationship in which the client actively participates and takes responsibility for becoming aware of and uncovering the events, initial and recurring triggers, subconscious tendencies, and motivations that have led to the current illness or condition. Together, we understand the connections - and ourselves - from a biological perspective. Through the process, we arrive at solutions together. If you come for a Recall Healing consultation, you must take responsibility and actively participate in the process.
In modern alternative medicine, it is not unusual to consider that our illnesses, physical and psychological changes are not independent of the conflicts and traumas we experience in daily life. This holistic perspective is increasingly present even among open‑minded allopathic doctors.
Illness often develops after a prolonged and highly intense period of emotional and mental tension, as shown by much clinical experience. It may appear immediately, or later in life when the trauma — at least in nature — is repeated. Something we are not consciously aware of can trigger it again.
To quote Carl Jung:
’Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.’
The roots of illness or problems can sometimes be found by recognising cyclical repetitions or events surrounding our birth. Very often, the causes are linked to hidden dynamics within the family tree. For those familiar with family constellations, it will seem natural that behind the causes lie human stories in which guilt, shame, and fear play the leading roles — excluded family members, ancestors who are deliberately or unintentionally forgotten. Untangling the generational syndrome is about this.
If we do not remember, there is nothing to recognise; if there is nothing to recognise, there is nothing to resolve, forgive, or finally release. In the absence of all this, there may always be a descendant who unconsciously connects to such a tragic situation or event — and simply mirrors and, in their own way, repeats the pattern “inherited” from the ancestors. In Recall Healing, we remember and we recognise. We release - for ourselves and for our descendants.
Recall Healing consultations do not involve family constellation work, but they are based on the same knowledge, which is also well known in psychotherapeutic practice.
Recall Healing consultations aim to find the root of the conflict underlying an illness. In a given situation, we examine whether there are cyclically recurring memory traces, and what (traumatic) events occurred during the prenatal period, birth, and the time before conception.
We analyse whether the family tree plays a role (in my experience, very often). We also consider whether it may be a combination of the above. From this, it is clear that applying these methods is a kind of investigation - like that of a reporter or a good detective. Over the course of a few sessions, the puzzle comes together, and we gain insight into what the past and the family may be holding, and which unconscious or forgotten traumas may be influencing the present situation. For this reason, before the consultation, you must complete and return a questionnaire in good time.
Revealing the truth, while sometimes painful, and speaking it aloud, acknowledging it, can significantly contribute to healing and even to the improvement of a physical symptom.
Recognition is essential, but often not enough. If there is grief that has never been processed, it must be grieved; painful memories must then be released. We have several tools to support this.
Name it. Own it. Let it go.
The key to all of this is experiencing compassion and forgiveness, along with respect for our ancestors.
